i recently got back from a trip to san francisco to visit my uncle, it was pretty cool and fun. My uncle works for the city of san francisco, i don’t really remember what he did, but i think it has something to do with architecture. i hadn’t seen him since my grandpa died, which was….um….a long time ago, more than 5 years. he didnt really look different at all, he looked the same.
his house was pretty small, but awesome at the same time, he’s putting a garden in his backyard, and he’s put a lot of work back there and still has more to go.
traveling by car is not very smart when there, we took the BART, which is pretty much a train that takes you everywhere and when it gets to san fran, it’s all underground, so it’s sort of like a subway. that is the most practical way to travel when there, cuz its nearly impossible to get a parking spot and traffic is stupid there, also everywhere you want to go in san francisco is all close together not all far apart like in phoenix where you have to drive to get somewhere. our public transportation sucks.
while there, i went and visited alcatraz. it was a very tourist-y thing to do, but it was kinda worth it. i loved audio tour, it was really cool hearing stories by the actual inmates and guards, i felt it really added to the whole experience, other than that, that place can be pretty boring. it is very pretty on the island though, a lot of green and its really cold.
i also went to china town. china town is interesting, everything there is so cluttered and fast paced, yet all the chinese people walk extremely slow. one thing i also wondered about is how do those tourist shops survive selling the same stuff. i felt i could of gone to one store and buy the same thing all the others stores had to sell, pointless.
little italy was the best, it was so relaxed and the food was great! i preferred little italy over china town, but there isnt much to see there as opposed to china town. the windy road is really close to this place, but that was it.
facebook sponsored an event at the california academy of sciences called night life. so they opened the place after 6 and only let people 21 and over in. once inside it was pretty much like a dance club/party. drinks were sold and dj’s were spread around. it was a really awesome atmosphere. it was cool seeing all those animals and stuff with that stuff going around, it was real artsy.
that was pretty much it. that’s all i did in san fran, not bad for just 2 days. i walked a ton and ate even more.

hard to see, but this is on the top of my shoulder blade towards the back. this is where the wind swirls and goes towards the bottom of my arm and throughout the piece, also acts as a continuation for a back piece im going to be working on pretty soon.
